EU Natural Gas Storage
Renewable Growth Keeps Gas Storage Levels Healthy
Highlights:
As of July 13, 2024 EU natural gas storage was 917.3 TWh. Gas storage was up 2.3% for the week and is up 0.3% versus last year. EU gas storage facilities are 80.8 percent full, compared with being 81.0 percent full this time last year.
Renewable growth has been considerable in EU countries, reducing gas demand and keeping gas storage levels healthy. Despite the reduction of imports from Russia over recent years, LNG imports and renewable power supply have positioned gas storage levels to remain healthy, depressing TTF prices.
