Solar Continues to Shine
Highlights:
EnerWrap reviewed the latest EIA-860M report, which details planned generation capacity. At the end of June 2024, 170,049 MW of capacity was in the pipeline.
87.1% of planned U.S. capacity is Solar, Wind or Battery. There is a remaining 00 MW of planned capacity additions this year and 43,037 MW scheduled for next year. Texas and California comprise 73.5% of the U.S. planned power capacity pipeline. Solar additions are 58.6% and 51.8% of capacity additions for the rest of the year and next year, respectively.
