U.S. Monthly EV Sales

Highlights:

• EnerWrap utilizes Argonne National Laboratory to provide insights into monthly electric vehicle sales in the U.S.

• Battery electric vehicle sales rebounded in the latest data (August) with the highest year-over-year growth since December

• All EV sales were 20.6% of total LDV sales, the highest on record

• HEV sales continue to outpace BEV sales

• Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales were 121,473, up 17.0% vs last month and up 31.6% compared with last year

• Plug-in-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) sales were 23,554, up 3.8% vs last month and down -16.3% compared with last year

• Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) sales were 147,521, up 11.7% vs last month and up 37.5% compared with last year

• Electric Vehicle (EV) sales were 292,548, up 13.1% vs last month and up 28.5% compared with last year

• Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) sales were 1,126,223, up 10.8% vs last month and up 3.5% compared with last year

• Light-Duty Vehicle (LDV) sales were 1,418,771, up 11.2% vs last month and up 7.8% compared with last year
