U.S. Natural Gas Storage

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 3,373 Bcf, lower by 40 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is 1.1% higher than last year and 8.9% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 15.9% higher, and 44.7% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the Midwest Region is 4.7% lower than last year, and 2.2% above the five-year average.

Salt storage is 9.6% higher than last year and 13.5% higher than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are 1.9% higher than last year and 7.8% higher than the five-year average.
