U.S. Natural Gas Storage

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 1,846 Bcf, higher by 16 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is -20.9% lower than last year and -5.2% lower than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 0.6% lower, and 49.8% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the Midwest Region is 29.4% lower than last year, and 15.1% below the five-year average.

Salt storage is -19.3% lower than last year and -8.6% lower than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are -22.9% lower than last year and -8.0% lower than the five-year average.
