U.S. Natural Gas Storage Weekly

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 2,297 Bcf, lower by 100 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is -9.2% lower than last year and 1.4% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 8.4% higher, and 46.2% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the Midwest Region is 15.6% lower than last year, and 6.4% below the five-year average.

Salt storage is -15.5% lower than last year and -4.3% lower than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are -6.2% lower than last year and 2.3% higher than the five-year average.
