U.S. Natural Gas Storage Weekly

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 3,863 Bcf, higher by 78 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is 2.2% higher than last year and 4.2% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 14.1% higher, and 30.0% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the East Region is 0.6% lower than last year, and 1.0% above the five-year average.

Salt storage is 10.7% higher than last year and 8.0% higher than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are 0.9% higher than last year and 2.2% higher than the five-year average.
