U.S. Natural Gas Storage Weekly

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 3,974 Bcf, higher by 42 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is 3.7% higher than last year and 6.2% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 13.3% higher, and 29.2% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the East Region is 1.2% higher than last year, and 3.0% above the five-year average.

Salt storage is 5.1% higher than last year and 6.5% higher than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are 3.4% higher than last year and 4.4% higher than the five-year average.
