U.S. Natural Gas Storage Weekly

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 3,967 Bcf, lower by 2 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is 3.4% higher than last year and 7.7% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 15.9% higher, and 33.3% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the East Region is 1.5% higher than last year, and 4.5% above the five-year average.

Salt storage is 2.9% higher than last year and 5.3% higher than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are 3.4% higher than last year and 6.5% higher than the five-year average.
