U.S. Natural Gas Storage Weekly

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 2,397 Bcf, lower by 174 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is -7.2% lower than last year and -0.6% lower than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 9.3% higher, and 42.9% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the Midwest Region is 12.2% lower than last year, and 6.7% below the five-year average.

Salt storage is -15.6% lower than last year and -14.2% lower than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are -3.2% lower than last year and 0.2% higher than the five-year average.
