U.S. Natural Gas Storage Weekly

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 2,892 Bcf, lower by 223 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is 1.3% higher than last year and 4.7% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 18.0% higher, and 44.9% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the East Region is 6.7% lower than last year, and 3.2% below the five-year average.

Salt storage is 10.4% higher than last year and 2.9% higher than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are 2.5% higher than last year and 3.8% higher than the five-year average.
