September Down Versus Last Year
Highlights:
EnerWrap wrangles daily and monthly EIA data to provide a unique insight into U.S. wind power generation markets
Daily data used to calculate monthlies shows U.S. L-48 wind generation in September was 26,797 MWHrs, down -9.1% versus last month and down -4.8% versus last year
Last 12-month U.S. wind generation was 472.1 GWHrs, up 4.7%
Wind generation is up 5.6% year-to-date
Total wind capacity is currently 151,855 megawatts, with Texas at roughly 27% of U.S. capacity
U.S. operating and planned wind capacity through 2030 is 178,658 MW
Plant-level capacity factors are calculated
