Highlights:

Despite the focus on renewable growth, natural gas powered generation in the U.S. is witnessing strong growth in 2024, up 5% versus 2023 through early July
The all-time high daily gas power generation was hit on July 9th, 2024
U.S. L-48 natural gas generation in June was 157,128 MWHrs, up 16.9% versus last month and up 4.5% versus last year
Last 12-month U.S. natural gas generation was 1,953 GWHrs, approaching half of the U.S. power generation stack
Through April LTM natural gas generation was up 6.2%
Total natural gas capacity is currently 572,180 megawatts
Growth in Texas has been significant since 2022
