  • Like wind power generation underperforming, we continue to think the growth in natural gas generation in 2024 is an under reported story

  • July 2024 was the highest monthly gas generation ever at 192 TWh

  • July was up 22% versus last month and up 3% versus July 2023

  • Year-to-date gas generation through July is up 5% versus last year

  • Last 12-month U.S. natural gas generation was 1,976 TWHrs

  • Through May LTM natural gas generation was up 5.6%

  • Total natural gas capacity is currently 572,985 megawatts
