Overhang Versus Five-Year Average Continues To Improve

Weekly Summary

U.S. Lower-48 natural gas inventories came in at 3,097 Bcf, higher by 52 Bcf on the week.  Lower-48 gas storage is 10.4% higher than last year and 18.4% higher than the five-year average.

Compared to last year, gas storage in the MountainWest Region is 43.6% higher, and 52.1% above the five-year average.  Meanwhile, the East Region is 3.7% higher than last year, and 16.9% above the five-year average.

Salt storage is 1.2% higher than last year and 11.7% higher than the five-year average.  Non-salt gas inventories are 5.9% higher than last year and 15.7% higher than the five-year average.
